The
Gujarat Technological University’s
First Youth Festival called “Xitij 2011” for Gandhinagar Zone was co-organized
by Shree Saraswati Education Sansthan’s Group of Institutions at Rajpur,
Mehsana on 13th and 14th October, 2011.
It
witnessed a confluence of outstanding talent of various colleges of Gandhinagar
zone in 21 different cultural events like classical music, singing, dance,
painting, clay modeling, collage making, cartooning, poster making, elocution,
debate and quiz competitions.
Both
the days saw a great mix of talent on display at the college grounds and
auditoriums of Shree Saraswati Institutes.
It was creatively spilled over paper (collage, painting), through acting
(mime, theatre), through words (elocution, debate and quiz), through beautiful
songs (classical and western) and through graceful moves (Indian classical and
tribal dance).
The
closing ceremony was graced by the former Vice Chancellor of GTU, Prof.
M. N. Patel and various other dignitaries. The organizing chairman and
Director of SSESGI, Prof. Dr. K. N. Sheth gave the closing address and
the chief guest and other dignitaries gave away the awards to the
winners and runner-up students.
The
winners of this event will go to the next level in the inter-zonal GTU
Youth Festival. The event was successfully concluded amidst a lot of
celebrations and a spirit of happiness and bliss. The invited
participants, judges, dignitaries, media persons, sponsors and students
of the institute had a gala evening and a day to remember forever..!
