co-organized by Saraswati Institute of Engineering and Management
13th - 14th October 2011, At. Po. Rajpur, Dist. Mehsana, Gujarat

The Gujarat Technological University’s First Youth Festival called “Xitij 2011” for Gandhinagar Zone was co-organized by Shree Saraswati Education Sansthan’s Group of Institutions at Rajpur, Mehsana on 13th and 14th October, 2011.

It witnessed a confluence of outstanding talent of various colleges of Gandhinagar zone in 21 different cultural events like classical music, singing, dance, painting, clay modeling, collage making, cartooning, poster making, elocution, debate and quiz competitions.

Both the days saw a great mix of talent on display at the college grounds and auditoriums of Shree Saraswati Institutes.  It was creatively spilled over paper (collage, painting), through acting (mime, theatre), through words (elocution, debate and quiz), through beautiful songs (classical and western) and through graceful moves (Indian classical and tribal dance).

The closing ceremony was graced by the former Vice Chancellor of GTU, Prof. M. N. Patel and various other dignitaries.  The organizing chairman and Director of SSESGI, Prof. Dr. K. N. Sheth gave the closing address and the chief guest and other dignitaries gave away the awards to the winners and runner-up students.

The winners of this event will go to the next level in the inter-zonal GTU Youth Festival.  The event was successfully concluded amidst a lot of celebrations and a spirit of happiness and bliss.  The invited participants, judges, dignitaries, media persons, sponsors and students of the institute had a gala evening and a day to remember forever..!
